I go shopping every December 26th. You cannot beat the after-Christmas bargains.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

I know about December 26th...HELLO who can turn down 10 rolls of 50 ft gift wrap at 75% off!!? Not I, my friends!

Anyways my son got a gift card from his grandparents for the Gap, and I figure I am going to take him then and hopefully take advantage of the sales.

I have actually just asked my husband if we can just go sit on a bench at the mall and watch this "chaos" every one speaks of.

Online shopping....I don't trust it when it comes to clothes though...my body is all wonky and weird...like I look like I'm wearing an inner tube around my hips...I got breeding hips...they're huge. So I need to try on clothes.

I think thats too much information.

I stay away!! lol I dont buy clothes online unless I have purchased them before. I usually check out Ebay! I bought 1 pair of shorts at a local sporting store for $50. Got TWO pairs (including shipping) on Ebay of the exact shorts for less than $30! Wife buys shoes from Zappos all the time! Shipping is free and same is the returns!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I didn't have a clue what Black Friday meant at all, or why it's called Black Friday. I don't think I have what it takes to venture into the fray, though. (The name, alone, makes me think of death. ) I went to the Boxing Day sales at Square One once. Actually, I spent 2 hours trapped in a line of cars trying to get to Square One, then another 2 hours trying to get away from Square One. We never did go inside the mall. Too hard on the nerves.

Black Friday...yes, the equivalent of Boxing Day. Another way to look at it is, Black Friday is buying for others, while Boxing Day is buying for oneself! :hehe:

My kids love Boxing Day, they usually get money from their grandparents, and myself, and they pool it together, and line up real early and get some great deals. I think it's only for the young though! They seem to love it. I'm sure they won't though in 20 years.
