How long in advance (appr.) do you get the appointment letter for the interview?

I have the feeling, we will get something in the mail soon but I will be gone on vacation to Germany for 2 weeks over christmas and I am afraid to be gone when they schedule my interview--and of course the last thing I want to do is to reschedule! :wacko:

(THe post office will hold the mail for us while we are gone, so if something comes while we are gone, it won't get lost. )

Before we got our appointment letter, I lived by the status on the website. I'm not saying it won't be correct in your case, but our case status still shows us pending at the National Benefits Center almost a month after getting the interview letter.

Just be careful.

Just be careful.

We received our printed interview appointment notice in our mailbox at our house about 2 months prior to our scheduled interview date. We didn't receive any email notification of the interview being scheduled, even though we are signed up for email.

The mailing of the interview appointment letter didn't show up on the USCIS website either. I thought it might show up as a touch or something...but nothing.

In reality, it might depend on how busy your local office is...

Thank you. If they send the invitation out that early, I should be fine. I just don't want to get an appointment for the time while I am in Germany but I guess then I would have gotten a letter already.

I was worried mainly because I just had a biometrics appointment and the appointment letter came only 3 weeks prior.
