I scheduled an interview at the US Embassy in Costa Rica for a Tourist Visa for my husband. I am hoping he can join me for my sisters wedding in Puerto Rico.

I sent my I 130 petition to VSC on October 9 and obviously I don't have an NOA1 yet. I probably will not have it until January. Do I have to mention this BIG detail even if my case will not be touched for a long time? I think I am going to mention it anyway because I don't want to screw anything up. But I would like to hear some opinions.

Regards

Kristy

My opinion would be to mention it - got to proceed through this process honestly (btw I'm not saying you are dishonest - I understand that it's tempting to not say anything and hopefully make the tourist visa less complicated - as you know your intentions are good).

Thanks for your reply.

I have decided to mention and try to use it in our favor. We have nothing to hide and we have no intentions of breaking any laws. I really hope our consular officer is able to see that.
