Three men charged with decapitating pet rabbit

BRENTWOOD – Three men are facing animal cruelty charges for decapitating a pet rabbit at Rye Beach, after a video of the incident surfaced on the video-sharing Web site YouTube.

All three men were indicted by a Rockingham County grand jury last week, and each face one felony count of animal cruelty, which carries a potential maximum sentence of 3 1/2 to 7 years in state prison. The incident occurred on Aug. 6, 2006, at Rye Beach, Rockingham County attorney Jim Reams said yesterday.

According to the indictments, Robert Freeman, 43, of 35 Easy Street, Plainfield, Conn., held down a "domestic white rabbit" while the other two men took turns hitting the animal's neck and head with a cleaver. Kevin Lynch, 28, of 23 Bradford Street, Milton, Mass., and William West, 34, also of Massachusetts, are accused of striking the rabbit with a knife and West is accused of decapitating it.

The indictments specifically describe the act as torturing or mutilating.

Reams said the incident was first reported to Rye police when someone complained about a video on the Web site YouTube.com. Reams said he did not know if the video was still on the site, but it could not be located yesterday. Reams said the three men were at some type of picnic and brought the rabbit to New Hampshire for the purpose of hurting it.

The men have not been arraigned.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

"St. Paul couple kept girl in a kennel, police say

Paul Gustafson and Heron Marquez Estrada, Star Tribune

February 10, 2005 KENNEL0210

A St. Paul mother and her live-in boyfriend are accused of locking the woman's 11-year-old daughter in a chain-link dog kennel in a warehouse basement, leaving her cold and, one night, naked.

Deborah L. Cameron and Eric Bare appeared in Ramsey County District Court on Wednesday, each charged with two counts of unreasonable restraint of a child, a gross misdemeanor.

Cameron called St. Paul police Jan. 1 to say she was having problems with her daughter and asked them to remove the girl from their home.

When police arrived they heard the girl screaming.

She told them that Bare locked her in a dog cage, hit her and read her diary.

Child protection officials removed the girl, then talked with the couple about the girl's allegations, the complaint states.

Bare, 41, and Cameron, 34, told officers that on two occasions in 2003 they had locked the girl in a kennel 12 feet long, 3 feet wide and 6 feet high to discipline her and change her behavior, according to a criminal complaint.

They kept the kennel in the basement of a warehouse that Bare rented next door to the couple's duplex in the 600-block of Snelling Av. N.

The girl was locked in the kennel for three days in August 2003 when she was 11 years old, and again in October 2003 for a week, Bare told authorities."

Fry 'em.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
