About his address in original alphabet???

Okay so just to refresh everyones memory, My fiance is from Tunisia but lives in Italy. I have two question

question 1

Number 14 or 16 on the I 129F they ask to write my fiance's address in his original alphabet, but arabic is not used in Italy so I put None, would that be the correct response, even though his original language is arabic , should i have put his ITALIAN address in arabic? Sound's stupid to write in arabic if he is in Italy? Anyone who might know the answer to that?

My So and I are a bit confused, tricky question,

Applicant's last address outside of the United States for over more than a year? I put None,

My SO has never been to the U.S so do I put his current address in Italy or leave it as none??? Such a tricky question.

K on the first question write it in English - even in Tunisia I think the address are spelled out - for example my husband lived on a street that had an arabic name but the address was transliterized to Roman letters. Anyway - I would write the street name in Roman letters - the only part I put in Arabic was his name where it asked for it's original spelling in native language.

2) This is asking for the last address he has lived at for more than a year. If he has lived in Italy that long then you would put that address. If he hasn't lived there for a year put his address in Tunisia.

For point 2. Yes you put the Tunisian address if he has lived there for more than one year as it does not state a timeframe. Whether or not he has lived there 50 years ago or 5 years ago, it just states last address for more than one year. Now if it had something like last five years, then you wouldnt put his Tunisian address because that would not fall under the 5 years.

yup what rlpolo said - write all the address he has lived at for more than one year. If he lived in England 15 years ago for 13 months, put that address, if he lived in Tunisia 15 years ago for 12 months put that one too. Anywhere that was over a year in length at any point in his life.

The embassy/Consulate needs to know how to contact him. So they want you to write out the address in the language used where he lives so that the local post office knows how to deliver it to him. This is my understanding.

I agree with Desert Fox.. and so I think it should be his Italian address which would be in Roman alphabet anyway-- and I would have rewritten it again. There are forms on which you list past addresses, and then you'd be listing ones in Tunisia.
