Hey everybody,

I´m new here and I don´t understand the K3 process! I hope you can help me!

We sent the I-130 and the I-129F and I thought that we have to wait for the I-129F approval and then it will be forwarded to the Embassy in Germany. But what will happen with the I-130 then?? Do we have to wait for the I-130 approval as well??

Thanks!

Hello,

Both my I-130 and I-129F were approved. The NVC already has my I-129F and will foward it to Frankfurt. They have not received my I-130 yet but from what I got from forums, as long as it has been approved, my husband can come here quicker with the k-3, its just that we would have to pay more and file more paper work. The whole purpose of the K-3 is to get your family member here in the US while the I-130 is still being processed. Once in the US the family member has to adjust their status. I think. Can someone verify this?
