I found this site recently. It is a great place since it made me realize that I am not alone in this quagmire. It gave me the strength to cope with this bureaucratic process. The last month was by far the most difficult. I oscillated between checking USCIS every hour to almost forcing myself not to check.

Alas, just after midnight on Nov 15 I checked and saw that it was finally touched. Then the next day, Nov 16, I saw “Approval Notice Sent” Never thought I be so elated to read three words.

A special thanks to all the persons who contribute so much to this site. You are all doing a wonderful thing. :thumbs:

Jun 21 07 - USCIS Website - Petition Received June 21 07 and I 797 sent

Oct 16 07 - Called USCIS - No NOA 1 Recieved - Told it was never mailed and they will now send it

Oct 17 07 - Touched - Most likely due to Call and NOA 1 Request

Oct 24 07 - NOA 1 in Mail

Jun 12 07 - ACTUAL receipt/ priority date on NOA 1

Quick question since this "posting; is new to me

can u tell me how r persons including their timeline on their post, are they typing it in, or do i have to do something special to bring in my VJ filled in timeline into my post

Scorpio - near the top - if you click on 'my controls' on the left hand side of the page that it displays will be a place to 'edit signature' .. from there - you enter what info you want displayed on the bottom of each of your posts .. where most people display their timelines.

Also - you can enter your info into VJ's database of timelines in a different section - that helps them with all of the info they display regarding timelines. Edit/add my timeline is the name of the function that allows you to do this. I think this link will bring you to the page to do that : your timeline

09/19/2007: Withdrew CIC application (they still hadn't processed anything)

10/01/2007: Moved back to U.S.

10/26/2007: I-130 mailed to CA Service Center

10/29/2007: USPS confirmation of receipt of I-130

02/13/2008: NOA-1 received (107 days)

07/02/2008: I-130 approved

07/22/2008: AOS filed including EAD and AP

07/25/2008: NOA-1s for all 3 received

08/20/2008: Biometrics appointment

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

I found this site when I started doing research on the K-1 Visa and being married vs. sponsoring a fiance. I have to tell you that this site has completely helped me in a tremendous way and just knowing there are tons of people out there going through the same thing I am doesn't make the waiting seem all that bad. Plus all the info I found on this site helped me to file my papers on my own - no lawyers! And I totally understand what you mean about making yourself NOT check the USCIS website - sometimes I make myself not come on VJ but in the end I lose both battles and I have to check! I'm glad you were approved. Congrats!

02-11-11 - Traveled back to the USA - and our journey is finally over! A total of 3.5 years!

Feb. 16th 2007 - Wedding.

Jun. ---- 2007 - Applied for my Honduran residency.

Nov. 8th 2007 - Honduran res. approved.

Honduras:

Nov. 19th 2007 - Applied I-130s and paid fees at Embassy Tegucigalpa Honduras

Nov. 29th 2007 - (email) Asked for information about the next stages of the process.

Nov. 30th 2007 - (email) they sent me packet 4 and other information.

Nov. 30th 2007 - (email) asked how long the police report will be good for.

Dec. 3rd 2007 - (email) police report also good for one year)

Dec. 4th 2007 - Did some research, told not to expect NOA1

Dec. 10th 2007 - Emailed and got our case number

Dec. 11th 2007 - (email) Appointment for interview Jan. 2nd 2008

Dec. 12th 2007 - Did medical exams. Got results the same day.

Dec. 13th 2007 - Applied for police report with DGIC.

Dec. 20th 2007 - Got police report from DGIC.

Dec. 23rd 2007 - Got Marriage, and both birth certs in "forma-literal".

Dec. 26th 2007 - Made photocopies of everything.

Dec. 28th 2007 - Offical NOA2

Jan. 2nd 2008 - Went to interview, approved and got visa's same day.

USA:

Jan. 7th 2008 - POE Houston TX, Arrive home in GA.

Feb. 6th 2008 - Got greencards in the mail, still waiting for social security.

Nov. 16th 2012 - Wife took oath of allegiance and became an US Citizen!
