I would invest a bunch of course...gotta be earning interest on that loot!! I would take care of my mom and dad...they have been through SOOO SO much ####### in the last few years with trying to help family, other bad things, that it would HONESTLY make me feel better to be able to do that than to have what I would have. Ditto for the terrific in laws...set them up too, so Craig's mom could quit working. We would also immediately go to England for a month or so and buy a home there, so we could visit whenever we wanted to.(We would, of course, pay someone to keep it up for us!) As long as we're that far, we may as well take the trip around Europe to see the cities we've both always wanted to see...Rome, Venice, Paris(well I haven't anyway!!) etc etc etc.. New cars for both of us, and give a chunk to each of our brothers and sisters too. Probably get a new house too..or at least totally overhaul this one..but not a big mansion type one..we like something cosy!!! Just something typical, with all nice new things. Corey would get a college fund(and Daryl as well if he wants to go on to University, (although I'm not thinking he does at the mo.) and have fun buying gifts for everyone. Hmmmmm.. I don't know what else. It is SOOO FUNNNN to dream tho...too bad that's all it'll ever be since I hardly EVER buy a lotto ticket!!! I imagine I didn't say anything unique here..most people would do a lot of these things...but what would you just really LOVE to do??

PS forgot to add(since I'm dreaming here I want to get everything I want now... A big shopping trip of COURSE!! We'd go to New York and do the Pretty Woman thing...go in all the stores I would never normally get in without some sales clerk looking down her nose at me  and buy a bunch of new clothes for all of us, accessories of course, and get Corey some of the junk he's wanted for a while(read:toys, electronics) Oh yes! Electronics, ipods, etc for ALL..yayyyyyyy! (No, we don't have em now..but we're gonna soon I tell ya!!!! I WANT and ipod!!!)_

Invest it all and live off the intrest. ohh I would do what I always wanted to do work for an animal shelter for free. so I can spend my days playing with the puppies, kittens and bunnies. on my days off from the shelter I would fly some place have dinner in Japan - breakfast in france someting like that.

Spend it!!!!!

Seriously I would make sure that all my family were OK, give some to very close friends, to my favourite charity, buy the house of my dreams, travel the world to see all the places I have always wanted to see.

learn how to fly, and then generally just enjoy my life and whatever else happens, just make sure that I "spread a bit of happiness around"

After giving each of my direct family members and in-laws enough so that they didn't have to worry for a while, I'd start buying some property, starting with my parents' house (which would make an excellent retirement domicile for us when we're ready), which needs some serious remodeling. I'd buy a new car that gets an even better mileage than our current one. The rest I'd invest so that I wouldn't have to worry about retirement (I know I'm still 30+ years away from retiring, but it increasingly worries me. :() and maybe some in a short investment funds to be able to take some exciting trips on a yearly basis.

Honestly, I would buy an island and make it completely self-sustainable, and without the need of fossil fuels. The money left over would go into investments and charities.

Take care of family first and then try and set-up a worthwhile charity or some bridge-building organization to run. I'd have to work something (on my own pace and with a good bit of travel involved, of course) and that would have to be something rewarding. Not financially rewarding if I had a couple millions to live off of but rewarding in a sense that it helps others. I'm kinda freaky that way, I know...

Ok, here's my list:

1 million off the top goes as a tithe

so with the remaining 9 million:

--pay off our bills

--give a chunk to our parents, grandparents (for a fun trip or something) and to our siblings

--set up an educational trust fund for each of our nieces and nephews

--contact a select group of people and say to them: "what bill keeps you up at night? give it to us" and pay those off

--tell Jerry to quit his job

--invest in the rest wisely (through my dad), setting aside a nice chunk for world travel and a piece of oceanfront property in Nova Scotia

--oh, and buy two Prius cars, because we both want one BAD

I do the same as Fischkoepfin said, take care of my immediate family first! :)

My two wonderful sons, my parents, brother and two sisters and all their families.

I especially would make sure I have a college fund set for my grandson eventhough he is only 16 months now :innocent:

Then help my husband's mother in getting the best doctor for her healthcare.

Help my husband to start his own business.

Buy a house in the Asian side of Turkey and a beachhouse in Bodrum, Turkey to spend the rest of my last days with my husband after he retires B) .

After that anything else goes into investing. ^_^
