The process did not take 3 years and 5 months

It took you less than 3 months form NOA 1 NOA 2

Do not count 3 years

You were not US citizen at that time

if you are not citizen it takes much longer

My brother was not a citizen and he came to USA with our parents, so he had to wait until he is a citizen

it took him 5 years wait to apply for N-400

then 5 months processing and

than he was lucky

he could still file at the direct consular office

it was in 11/2006

I want to prepare with all documents to complete I864 and DSS230 packets. Do I need to submit a photocopy of the biographic page of my wife's passport with DS230 only? I noticed that some folks here had to send missing documents in response to RFE. What were those documents? If you guys please share with me that would be really helpful. Thanks

For Bangladesh, you will need to submit DS 230 part I and photocopy of passport biographic pages (for your wife) to NVC. But, you should contact NVC to be sure before you mail them out. Besides, your wife needs to take DS 230 part I and II with her when she will go to the Embassy for the interview. She will need to take your marriage certificate, her birth certificate, medical with her as well for the interview.

RFE means Request for Evidence usually issued when petitioner/beneficiary has not submitted everything that they were asked for, has left anything blank in the paperwork or NVC wants to see something for their further clarification. Looks like, you are doing well, so do not worry about RFE.
