Hello,

We tried to check my wife's case status online using the USCIS website's case search option, but get no results. She has had her biometrics already and an RFE which we already returned. Is this normal? We entered in the right number, beginning with MSC..Does it take them a long time to enter them into the system?

It can take a while... It took a month and 20 days for me. It was online the day after my biometrics.

Timeline:

2005-04-14: met online

2005-09-03: met in person

2007-02-26: filed for K-1

2007-03-19: K-1 approved

2007-06-11: K-1 in hand

2007-07-03: arrived in USA

2007-07-21: got married, yay!

2007-07-28: applied for green card

2008-02-19: conditional green card in hand

2010-01-05: applied for removal of conditions

2010-06-14: 10-year green card in hand

2013-11-19: applied for US citizenship

2014-02-10: became a US citizen

2014-02-22: applied for US passport

2014-03-14: received US passport

Thanks for answering..Im just concerned because we sent in my wifes I-485 just before the fee increase.. We had biometrics in late september, and received an RFE in october..It did take us a few weeks to get the neccessary information to send back with the RFE, but still no case status online..Since they sent us an RFE, doesnt it mean that the case is being reviewed and should've been entered into the online system?

ours has not been added to the website. called today and they said that tehy are really back logged in adding the cases to the system for online and phone access....we got our NOA's 2 months ago and had our biometrics about a month ago. they told us not to worry.

AOS -K2 Based for 8 year old daughter...wife already has green card in hand and daughter was brought over via join to follow - K1.

11/04/08 - I485 sent

11/10/08 - NOA rcd

11/26/08 - Biometrics

Our lawyer warned us that sometimes the case never makes it online! Our I485 and I765 are online, but the I130 is nowhere to be found

03-04 Met online

09-05 Finally meet in person

07-06-2007 MARRIED

10-19-2007 Package sent to Chicago

10-22-2007 Package arrived at Chicago lockbox

10-26-2007 NOA notice date

10-29-2007 NOA in my hot little hands

11-19-2007 Biometrics letter arrives for 12-13

12-13-2007 EAD card production ordered TWO HOURS AFTER BIOMETRICS APPT :)

04-02-2008 FINALLY our appointment and APPROVED ON THE SPOT THANK YOU GOD/GODDESS/EVERYONE

04-11-2008 Green Card arrives PHEW
