I bet all the Brits are glad to see this!

What a nail biter the game was--my (English) husband was pacing, and I was watching the screen through slightly splayed fingers.

Good job, Israel!

(No offense to the Russians, of course)

No reason to be PC. I understand you don't necessarily hate the opposing team by cheering for your team.

BTW Gooooo Israel!!!!!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Oh, I wasn't being PC. I was just noting (not terribly clearly I'll admit) that neither Israel nor Russia is my team. I was just pulling for Israel today so that England would still have a chance to qualify. England isn't my team either, but it would be a shame if they didn't go through--if for no other reason than a lot of money would be lost if England was absent (imagine all the Brits who would stay home instead of spending a king's ransom on beer in Austria and Switzerland!). My Limey husband wants England to qualify, but he's also disgusted with the team generally and doesn't like a lot of the players. But he can't help but support them, so I support them by association. Let's hope they play like they give a $#it against Croatia this week.

Ramble, ramble.

My team, truth be told, is Moldova (long, uninteresting story), but they were eliminated a while back. Well, before the tournament really started. :-) They whipped Hungary today, tho.

But Israel looked awesome today. And without Benayoun! They should be proud of themselves.
