10/01/2007: Moved back to U.S.

10/29/2007: USPS confirmation of receipt of I-130

02/13/2008: NOA-1 received (107 days)

07/02/2008: I-130 approved

07/22/2008: AOS filed including EAD and AP

07/25/2008: NOA-1s for all 3 received

08/20/2008: Biometrics appointment

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

Indeed! I have the original and the Band Aid 20 version on a CD and both my kids love them.

Love, love, love all the classics...but have a thing for cheezy "Last Christmas" by Wham! :blush:

Never been a fan of the 'traditional' ones, but that maybe because of the stores who seem to find the absolute WORSE versions of them, then put them on repeat all, day, long.

"Santa Baby" and "All I want for Christmas", atm, are my faves, plus the (although I don't like him x.X) Robbie Williams "Walk this Sleigh".

The Beginning

September 29th, 1999 - 'hooked' up with Dave after chatting with him for about a year online.

October 23rd, 2004 - September 29th, 5 years to the day, he proposed to me =D

July 23rd, 2005 - Dave comes over for the wedding on July 27th at the beach :)

Sometime in December, he sends off I-130 to Texas and promptly leaves me in the dark like a mushroom x.X...

The Saga Continues *dumdeduuummm*

August - phone NVC. intriguing :\ Phoned again, ah hah! the truth... no record of us >< losers... Go and visit Dave for 3 months...

End of January, we sent the petition back in again. 2 weeks later, we actually get a number in our hot little hands.

April 5th - NOA2 approved!

April sometime, received and sent back Choice of Agent

May 18th - Received IV Bill

May 28th - Sent IV Bill MO back

June 11th - DS-230 generated

July 12th - Received and sent back DS-230 packet

July 19th - NVC Sent Husband checklist of AoS. They forgot to fill in N/A fills with.... N/A x.X

July 23rd - DS-230 entered

July 26th - NVC received checklist regarding financial suppliment (ie, got a talking to on the phone :P)

August 1st - sent financial papers back

August 3rd - (Automatic msg) Financial records lacking! ARGH!~

August 7th - Received actual fixed paperwork - 'processing'

August 17th - NVC COMPLETED CASE!~

September 10th - Received packet 3

September 17th - Medical in Brisbane

November 14th - Interview VISA GRANTED

December 8th - Landed in USA

December 24th - GreenCard Arrives

although I don't like the song "last christmas" It holds a very special place in my heart. Last year around this time my husband was sitting with me in the kitchen and asked me to download it. I had never heard it before that day. This song was the first American song he ever sang to me. :) :) Every time I think about it I smile.

I also like Grandma Got Ran Over By a Reindeer....even now I sing it in the car with my son :lol:

Reminds me of when it forst came out and how my dad laughed and laughed....he's been gone now since April '89--wnet into the hospital right before Christmas in '88 and didn't leave until he died there.

Oh! I almost forgot "Christmas is all around" by Billy "Bill Nighy" Mack :D from Love Actually, which is also one of my favourite christmas movies :D

:lol: Me too! I love the movie and like the music

I also love all the classics - I actually used to watch the original Disney sing-a-long Christmas Music tape with my little brother and those really are some of my favorite versions. We watched it every year on Christmas Eve until he turned 19 :) That and the tape was worn out. I hate the new ones though...

TransSiberian Orchestra is by far my fav for christmas music when I'm not in the mood for classics :D
