Has anyone filed their I-130 in Nebraska in October and if so have you received NOA1? We want to file our I-129 but can't do so until NOA1 from Nebraska (actually I guess it will come from CA) It shows being receipted but check not cashed. Does the "other forms" on their timeline refer to I-130?

Why not just stick to the IR-1 visa process and not file the I-129F for K-3. In many cases IR-1 takes just a bit longer to process.

K-3 has the added expense of adjustment of status, ($1010) cannot work until either has EAD or green-card, and in some cases green-card can take years to get through AOS.

IR-1 has the benefit of being an immigrant visa, which gets green-card upon entry to the USA allowing work.

Compare IR-1/CR-1 and K-3 processing times in VJ timelines, IR-1 is not much longer to get from UK.
