Well i dont know if NVC has received my pack yet - havent heard anything from them by either Post or Email.

Hopefully i will have the packet 3 soon enough and then get on the trail to getting an interview!

Is it still roughly 3 months from NOA2 to getting the interview booked??

I think that is roughly the case. It took around 5 weeks from NOA2 to NVC forwarding the petition to the consulate. It then took another 2 weeks to receive Packet 3. See my signature below for details.

17th March 2010 - Started the removal of conditions process

22nd March 2010 - Application received by CSC

30th April 2010 - Biometrics appointment

We just recieved our NOA2 notification today....so Im here for help and the next step. How can I contact NVC to find out when they recieve our file? How long does it take from Vermont on average and how can I get my new case number? Has anyone attempted to contact their embassy in advance with the new case number to request an interview and packet three with provisional file made???

Thanks.

VSC to NVC is a couple of days. Call NVC at 603-334-0700, 1, 5 to talk to someone. Make sure you talk to someone because K1s are not entered into the automated sytem. If you give them your EACXXXX case number, if they have received it, they will give you your new case number, when they received the file and when it will be sent to the embassy. Turnaround is about 5 days, if not less.

If you have the new case number, some embassies will let you turn in packet 3 before they have the physical file. Not sure if this is true for Cairo.

Good luck Faith!!!

i just got my NOA2 on the 20th, and my docs are already on their way to the consulate (if they havent already arrived there). the NVC recieved my case 3 business days after my NOA2 and they forwarded it to the consulate two business days after they recieved it...SUPER FAST (too fast in my case, because they forwarded it to the wrong consulate, but ah well)

i would give the NVC a call tomorrow

hope that helps!!

Thanks for the info...how long did everyone wait (ohhhhhhhhhh I HATE THAT WORD NOW), till you started to call NVC to see if it had arrived??? Should I start to call Friday? Or wait till MOnday?

But I just thought of something I was ACTUALLY approved YESTERDAY..but just got email early this morning. So today is business day 1? So thrusday would be the third business day?

Hello. We were approved by VSC on 17th November (Saturday) and our petition arrived at NVC on the 20th (Tuesday). It left there on the 23rd (Friday) so if I were you I would call them on Thursday or Friday and get your new case number. Good luck.

LOL :P Welcome here Amrssnowangel :) We have been waiting for you :D As for how long you should wait before you call: things from VSC go so fast that you don´t even manage to turn around and there you go your petition is almost in Egypt. Our experience with CSC is: we waited a week, then we called NVC, they had nothing, then we waited another week, called NVC, they had nothing, so we called CSC to find out what was going on and they said they couldn´t tell if our petition has or hasn´t been sent out cuz they have no way to check (LOL)...so we waited and one (which was like after another week) we called again to NVC and there it was...it arrived there and left the same day....if you want you can try calling NVC every day...they won´t be rude to you or anything :) Good Luck (F)
