Wow - that's insane... at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel though and we will all look back and smile at the memories - we'll be like old timers - looking at these people complaining about their 93 day wait and such like

:lol::lol::lol:

i already feel like that when i hear newbs complaining about how they have been waiting for almost two months for their noa2!! oh golly gee, i got my noa2 on day 144, and in my day a girl felt guilty about such a thing, because she was actually approved in a much more timely fashion than many of her peers! oh yea, i also walked uphill to school, both ways. ;)

Haha - I know... I was feeling hard done by at 152 days but even I consider myself lucky by comparison to some... there is always someone in a worse position :)

I just try not to think if timings were what they are now then I would have made my February wedding for real :(

Haha, I was hoping for a February wedding, too!

I left my job, sold my car in November and departed on a two month round-the-world odyssey thinking by the time I got back home, a NOA 2 and Packet 3 would be waiting for me, then gather everything, and eventually fly down by mid January.

Imagine the surprise when I came back and nothing!

But you know what, I can't let things like 30 day approval rates get to me. So I lose out on the visa waiting time. I can only suck it up and say big deal! That's the worst of it! Between April and end of summer, we'll be planning the marriage, getting married, going on our minimoon, buying our home in downtown SF, Hamptons, moving to SF, our private wedding in Hawaii, then AP to return to Canada and U-Haul the rest of my stuff down.

So as you can see, 10 months wait is just a matter of building character! This is just prep time for us. It'll be fantastic!

Oh I know :D

Hawaii is beautiful as well - we had our "honeymoon" there - where are you getting married?

I thinkit is character building - I mean we can whine and moan and cry and b*tch but it won't get us anywhere so we might as well get on with things.

I think the wait has been good for me - we started the process and I had so many fears and doubts wondering if I was doing the right thing, wondering if I really wanted to move, wondering if I really wanted to marry someone who I had only been in a relationship for a short time with... all this time to think and plan and see other people go through the same thing has just reinforced how I feel and now I know I am ready :)

Of course it is still going to be a bit of a culture shock and it will still take time to adjust but I know that we can egt through it all together :)

I really, really want to update my timeline with Packet 4 Received and Interview Date! I am feeling so impatient today. :clock:

But, good news still: Scott had his medical today and got his police records ordered, which they say should arrive within 2 weeks.

I am such a planner though, I really just wish I could know our interview date! ARRRRGGGG!

*back to being patient because there's no other choice*

Rae did you try calling DOS to see if they know the interview date yet? I called earlier this week about our case & they said well...there's no interview scheduled yet (duh i know, we didn't even get packet 3) but Montreal received your case on the 17th and mailed packet 3 to your fiance on the 20th. So they must know interview dates when they're scheduled. I'm dying to know your interview date too!! It'll help me guage a little when ours will be too.

3/5/11 sent LOC paperwork

3/9/11 date of NOA

?/?/?? biometrics appointment

Me too!!!

You know, I haven't -- I am notoriously bad with speaking with people on the phone (I just have an aversion to it; I know, it's weird). But I think you're right and I should try, so hopefully I'll get a chance to while I'm at work today. I emailed MTL when we sent our P3 back but I only received the automated response from them, and it tells you that if you email them more than once with the same question they simply will not respond at all, so I feel completely in the dark. I just wanted them to tell me they had received it (though I know they did b/c I tracked it) and that we are in fact in line for an interview. Bastards. lol

And I know what you mean; I keep checking the MTL spreadsheet to see the people ahead of me get theirs. It helps all of us to know when we're getting our dates. I am soooo anxious!!

So, is this info right:

DOS: # 202-663-1225 and press 1, 0

?

You two are still waiting on P3, right? Seems like it should get to you any day now. :)

I sent back packet 3 now but I am so ansy to get my interview date - having a phone aversion isn't that weird - I am like it as well although I have got better because all I do in work is phone people all day (not telemarketing - don't panic!!). Jeremy is the same but much worse than me - he even hates making calls to his family...

I don't like calling to order food, even if it's just a pizza. I don't like calling to make doctor appointments. I don't like calling any form of customer service (really, who does?) because you can sit on hold for hours and get nothing accomplished. Maybe it's customer service that's really done this to me. But I really just don't like calling strangers up! That said, DOS is on my list for today. :D Okay, I have to get to work now! I am procrastinating here, which is dumb, considering I can be on this site all day while I am at work. :P

Hahah :D Yeah Jeremy is the same although I get moer nervous about calling people when I am in the US because of my accent - I can speak perfect English (being from England and all :P) but because my accent is such a novelty it can get embarrassing...

Hahaha! I find people here LOVE British accents though. Or maybe it's just women. Or just me.

Russian accents are great too. Scott does a great one. Though real ones are for sure better. ;)

Okay, officially freaking out now...

I tracked our Fedex of P3 back to Montreal and I know it arrived there on the morning of the 14th of March.

I just called DOS and they said Montreal sent out a letter to us today stating that our NOA2 expires tomorrow and they will destroy our case if we do not respond. They are not showing that they received our P3. I emailed them AND our lawyer emailed them in regards to the NOA2 expiry but they never got back to us.

I hate Montreal. :help:
