I know it has been a while since I posted, I hope you all forgive me. I want to give you all an update. Kamel had his medical on Jan 12th and had his interview scheduled for today (Feb 12th) at 1 p.m. WE ARE APPROVEDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!! woohoo!!!! He said that it went smoothly and he should have his passport with the visa stamp within two weeks. Insha'allah!! We will keep everyone posted. Thank you all for your friendships, prayers, & kind words to us over the past year. We will continue to let you know our progress and now that my nerves have calmed down and the hurdle of the interview is over, I will try to be better about posting. We continue to pray for all of you and want you to be reunited with your loves soon. Insha'allah!!!!

if you have a co-sponsor, you both need to fill out and notarize a seperate i-134...you dont have to be there when the co-sponsor get theirs notarized, but you will have to get your own form notarized...yes, the co sponsor must follow the instructions on the form and show proof of income (pay stubs, bank statements, letter of employment, w2s)

Hey June Filers- Ruth had her interview yesterday, Feb. 13th...we are finally approved, with visa in hand. I don't if we are, but it feels like we are on of the last June couples to get ours. Who else is still waiting? Hang in there...There is light at the end of the tunnel (and it's not a train coming this way...)

How are we told our NVC number? Will NVC mail a letter to the beneficiary or petitioner with our new NVC number? Are we supposed to call them to ask?

We received our NOA 2 on January 30, and have called NVC three times since then giving them our WAC number but they say they don't have our file.

Should I contact the Vancouver consulate?

Thank you!

Yeah, calling the NVC is one way to do it. I think you could also call the Dept. of State. In our case, it took 5 weeks before NVC had the new number to give us. So you might just have to wait a bit more....BTW, the "official" take is that is COULD take up to 90 days to get the new case number. But I think that is just to provide cover for them if things happen to take a while. Most people seem to have it within 30-45 days. Plus, it seems to get to the NVC a lot faster from Vermont than from Cali.

When the NVC processes your case, they will issue ur new number. CSC takes awhile to forward the petition to NVC. I hear they send a batch out every month. You could try calling them every week. Yes they also mail a letter but I found out mine over the phone.
