i have been calm and patient throughout the bulk of this process,but its finally catching up with me...im just really sick of it right now...waiting to wait....waiting to wait...omg its freakin ridiculous!!!!!!! i havent seen adriano in almost 8 months!!!!! i cant take it anymore, itll be at least another month before the interview, but please god would they just schedule us already!! sweet lord

8 months!!! well hopefully won't be too long for you ...

I am getting fidgety over not seeing bg after 3 months..

oh susie, I'm SO sympathetic... we went about that long once, between meetings, and it was sh1te, pure and simple

don't take your eyes from the prize though - you're SO close now; it's weeks where it once was months

Defo - I must say our longest was 4 1/2 months... although we coped better with that than when we first got together and went 2-3 months I think we just kinda got used to being apart... I learned to live for the moment and found that taking things one day at a time means that all of a sudden, you have a couple weeks til you're together and then you start getting excited Much less painful

Yeah - I'm not in any rush though as I am not moving out until the end of June - so I figure if I can only make one trip to London then at least I can save myself some money

The medical needs to be done much sooner than the day before the interview. All the results need to back and cleared by the time you have the interview. Although each place is different I recall reading somewhere that you should have it at least 5 or 8 days (Can't remember which ) prior to the interview. Just something to look up and ask your consulate about.

well, someone (was it julez's guy?) was rung by the consulate, offering to make his interview the same day as the medical to save him two trips to London... if I remember correctly, the interview came first, and he did the medical in the afternoon; the visa was approved at the morning interview pending the afternoon's results

so it looks like it CAN be done no worries; definitely worth looking into, Jeraly

Yeah - I thought there were people who booked the medical after sending packet 3 - the interview would just be pending medical results... or do I need to book the medical then just hope? Maybe I could book the medical when I get back and then try and change the interview date if I need to?

EAD in JFK even with change of planes in LAX first? Is this ok?

Hi guys,

So my fiance had is K-1 approved and flys in on Feb 12th. He is from New Zealand and the only way to get to NY from New Zealand is by changing planes. There is no direct flight to JFK. I am picking him up at JFK as I live 50 minutes from that airport but he has to change planes in LAX as he did when he was on holiday.

My question is, will he have to do all the K-Visa forms at LAX or will that be done at JFK or both. I understand JFK is the only place that can stamp the EAD on his passport or I-94 and I am just worried that he will still be able to get that despite needing to change planes at LAX. I know you have to get your bags etc at LAX and transfer them to the domestic connections. Please let me know. He really needs the EAD.

I think it is the point at which he first goes through US Immigration which would be LAX... if he is bound and determined to go through JFK then the best option (although long-winded and prolly expensive) is probably to go via Europe. If he can transfer in London then he can fly direct to JFK from there...

good call...thanks for the support...im feeling much better today, but i still have the down moments...it will just be much easier when i have the date...when i have a tangible goal in sight...i cant wait!!

oh yea, its much harder in the beginning...especially since, we were together every day for 3 months when we first met (i was studying in italy, where he was living), and then we seperated for 4 months...we were just starting to become serious when i left for america, so it was really scary...i knew i liked him a lot, but wasnt sure if we could do it...i was like, will i ever see him again!?!?! lol now its not like that of course...i know i will see him eventually, its just a matter of time...

and also, we were visiting every 2-3 months when i was still in school, and it was actually harder in a way, always having to say goodbye and what not...i dont know, its weird.

haha, good to know im not alone...ive gotten some different people recently, but i have NO patience lol i need to call every day...especially since it appears that the post in albania takes about 10 days (which is absurd considering the fact that adriano lives walking distance from the embassy), so i dont want him to get packet 4 and have the interview date be like a week after he receives it...i gotta book that flight, and i dont wanna pay a million bucks for it!!

Yeah - I know it is unfounded but I will be glad to be through immigration on Thursday! Ohhhh - what a relief that will be!

I'm feeling ok at the moment - kalms (weird herbal tablets that prolly do nothing) and lots of herbal tea... either that or maybe the constat trips to the bathroom are taking my mind off of things!!!
