I think I might be ready to schedule an interview :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

Hi everyone!

I have a question I'm hoping you guys can answer so I can gauge roughly how long it'll take to my interview.

I received my online NOA 2 today after 243 FREAKIN days. It'll be prolly another week before I receive the hard copy. Now, in the K1 timeline guide it says from NOA 2 to interview COULD take up to four months. In your experiences, is that right?

I'm a June filer. Could it be likely I get my interview in JUNE???

I just need to gauge everything so I'm more prepared.

And should I bother getting my criminal record search done now or just wait till I hear from the embassy? Oh yeah, I had the search done a few months after filing hoping to be prepared. It has a six month expiry date. Freakin wasted my $60. Bitter? Oh, no way.

well, you are lucky that youre using the vancouver consulate, as the montreal one takes much longer to schedule interviews...with the CSC, it takes a bit of time for the approved petition to reach the nvc (could be a few weeks), then it will zip through nvc, and be sent on its merry way to vancouver...i dont know much about that consulate, but im pretty sure they are usually pretty quick...if you have all of the documents ready, and all goes well, id say you should have an interview in about 2-3 months from now...thats just my guess though, hope that helps...id do some more research on your consulate though, to be sure

yes, get the police certificates and financial documents ready now...you will be happy you did so, trust me

The thought *had* crossed my mind... but I figured I would rather not take the chance... we must get it back at some point surely?

You don't ever get the contents of the envelope back. It goes into your "permenant record" at (if I remember correctly) USCIS.

Not sure if I should congrat anyone for getting shots or having to send money to police, but hey at least you're moving forward, so congrats for that!

Ok - so if I become a USC they still keep a pile of ticket stubs, photos and boarding passes!? With all the immigrants how can they afford to store all of the info - I know how big our packet was!!!

It's going to be an anticlimax because I will (hopefully) get my visa and then I have to wait age before I move - the time is going to go by soooooo slowly!! It'll be good because I will have things to sort out but at the same time I am just going to be itching to get on with things :P

Yeah - I am just telling myself that it will give me a chance to tie up loose ends, sell my things I don't need, pack things up... It will be great to have that luxury but at the same time part of me just wants to get on with it now - I am fed up of hanging around. Mum keeps saying I could go earlier but I want to be here for her 50th

I don't know this for a fact, so I could be wrong, but I believe that most interviewees do not climax at their interview. So you should be okay, I doubt it would be a reason for denial. Check with your consulate anyway.
