I'm going to call on monday, I just want to know that they have recieved everything for a start. Even better if they can give me an interview date even though I know it's probably too soon.

sooooo stressed about interview and I don't even have date yet...posted thing about sponsorship in UK forum.

Don't talk to me about stress!! I've been waiting so long for this interview and now it's almost here I'm dreading it. Aaaaargh!!

I'll be certain to reprt any news as soon as I can! His biggest fear is the medical after the interview. He is convinnced that they won't pass him cos he's Type 1 diabetic. I'm convinced he's worrying for nothing!

Yay!!!

Trying to figure out money transfer stuff and it is making me feel intellectually inadequate I don't *have* any utility bill so how can I scan one in?!?!

Julez - I'm sure he'll be fine too! I don't think the US is looking for a perfect race!! I think they are making sure we don't infect the country with gribbly diseases and lurgy!!

julez I'm sure he'll be fine. As Aly says they are only making sure we not diseased, a threat to ourselves or others or potentially cost a fortune before we can earn our keep.

I'm sure that's part of it, but they also want to make sure people aren't going to end up being a public charge due to health issues. Which is actually ridiculous when you think about the fact that the US government does not provide us with healthcare.

But at the same time they aren't going to deny someone a visa because of something they can't help - type 2 would cause more issues I am sure but I don't think either would be a problem

Which, rae, is exactly why he's so nervous. Though I do know of some diabetic VJers who are here in the US after a successful K1 interview. I can't see why Griff would be any differnet. He's extremely well controlled with his diabetes and has a letter from his doctor saying so. I'm sure he'll be fine.

aly makes a good point...type 1 is not something he could help but if he was obese and not willing to diet with type 2 that may be different. He'll be fine. I had a friend with type 1 that managed to get an Aussie visa.
