The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

psssst... 'cheesemonger'... can I come in? :D

ok, now there are loads of things I suddenly have to do, like police checks and so on, but I think the most urgent is my address change... my fiancé rang USCIS to do that a couple of days back, but they said he had to fill out a form (first I heard of THAT), and anyway, now we're approved ( ) it may be too late for that... advices, anyones? :D

it's not the end of the world if it goes to my old address - my cousins live there still, so I'd get it - I'd just prefer it came to me :)

(psssst... 'cheesemonger'... don't think it works for me... you think they changed the pw already? :( )

Hi, I had to change my address too. The NVC will change your address for you, just ask them to do it when you are getting your new case number from them.

I wouldnt say friendly, but accommodating.. Once you get someone on the phone, they immediately ask your receipt number. Then if they dont have it in the system, the representative will ask what the date of approval is, and then the speech of "Your case can take up to 2 to 4 weeks to get delivered to NVC and up to 90days before it is assigned a case number". Otherwise, once its in the system, the representative will ask who the beneficiary is, and then date of birth and then ask you your phone number. If you get to this part, you can ask them what the case number is and when they sent the packet to the embassy. So NVC is pretty much straightforward in answering questions. I found this out by calling NVC at 2pm everyday for two weeks.. until NVC got my packet.

Well NVC states they received our petition...I called Thursday December 6h....so I can only assume the recieved it on the 5ht...using the tracking advice for DHL from another thread...I THINK its been sent to cairo already??? At the time of my call around 12pm it had not shipped...however there is a package that left for cairo on Dec 6th, that was at 4:30 leaving time (3:30 processed time) on that same date. Could it be ours??/ Iguess it could be ANYONES that was approved from either center..but it looks hopeful..anyone know if they are open today to take calls?
