Hi All,

does anyone know why CSC is not sending receipts for I 130s? i check their weekly updates on receipting but the date upto which they have send reciepts for I 130 never changes. it remains 8/30/07 since Oct beginning. i sent my I 130 for spouse to CSC on 12th sept 07. but still no receipt. customer service says to wait 90 days. and in the meantime if the checque is cashed to send I 129 F with a copy of the cheque. its very depressing. i need to file I 129 asap.

pls share your knowledge

thanks

USCIS has been slow on sending out NOA1 since July when they had a rush of filers, beating the rate increases.

Why not just stick to the CR-1 visa process and not file the I-129F. In many cases CR-1 takes just a bit longer to process.

K-3 has the added expense of adjustment of status, (1010) cannot work until either has EAD or green-card, and in some cases green-card can take years to get through AOS.

CR-1 has the benefit of being an immigrant visa, which gets green-card upon entry to the USA allowing work.

Compare CR-1 and K-3 processing times in VJ timelines.

Please update your profile, there is no country called N/A and your filed for a visa not N/A

Hi,

Thanks to your quick reply. i have not considered CR 1 untill you mentioned. to be truthfull i do not know about it. i will check the site and find it out. but you have mentioned that it takes a bit longer to process than K3 right? now bcz i have waited more than two months since i filed my i 130 its another one month waiting time to file I 129 as USCIS says its 90 days.

is it a good decision to file CR 1 after waiting for two months as i cannot file I 129 if i file for CR 1. bcz K3 processing time is less as they say.

i will edit my profile.

thanks

You already have filed for CR-1, it is filed for by filing the I-130, and NOT filing I-129F with it or later with I-130 NOA1.

Just sit tight and wait for I-130 to be approved and sent on to NVC and Consulate for the CR-1
