Hello guys, I have just discovered this marvellous website!!! I have found a lot of info on IR-1?CR-1 visas. Thank you!

However I would like to know the processing time for the I-824. If anyone went this road, I would appreciate any input!!!

My story has been so long so it seems it will never end.....

I have filed I-824 a month ago. How long would I wait to recieve an Agent Choice Form and I-864?

As I have an approved I-130 (it was approved 2 years ago and filed together with I-485, which was later denied),

may I just go to the consulate here and ask for a visa?

Please help me :help:

Thank you for the answer.

Do you mean that in 6 months the case will reach NVC and only then they start preparing the case for the embassy? Or that in 6 months the case will be complete (with all those I-864 and DS-230 forms) and be sent to the embassy?

That's correct but I would warn that we only have a couple data points on this within the past year or so, so even though I would agree with the six months estimate, I don't have a high level of confidence in the accuracy.

Hi, is I-824 a result of filing both I-130 and K3? and choosing to proceed on the route of CR1 that's why you need to file the I-824 so your papers will be sent to NVC?

I'm just worried, because we both filed CR1 and K3 but although no NOA2 yet, we're thinking of following the CR1 route. Because we filed both, are we looking on 1-6 months wait for USCIS to forward approved I-130 papers to NVC due to I-824?
