Police certificate UK

Hi everyone. I'm getting ahead start on the packet 3 although still waiting for my NOA2. My fiance has already gotten a police certificate for his current address, which he has lived at since 18 years of age. But the instructions mention that you need one for every residence since turning 16, which would mean he would need one for the house he lived in as a child. When he got the certificate about 2 months ago, they asked him how long he had lived at his current address and when he said 10 years, they said they would just have to check his current address then, no need to check the previous one.

But since he did live at another house for more than a year since turning 16, would he need to go request another police certificate? It seems like he will...

You need one for every *country* he's lived in for more than a year since turning 16. If that house was in another country, then yes, he needs another certificate.
