Even though I am not on the list ( i'm waiting to adjust status for my husband)

Hi Zainab,

Things are going good Thanks for asking. My husband just has ants in his pants because he wants to work RIGHT NOW and things don't work like that. I took him to a soccer field (that I totally knew nothing about but he loves to play) and he met some guys who he plays with twice a week that kindof takes some of the boredom away. He says that he's only bored when I am at work though. He likes the food I guess he never complains I try to cook healthy even though I don't eat healthy because he doesn't like junk food or sweets he says they are too sweet and too rich.

He really misses his Nigerian food and I don't know how to cook it but I plan on trying some things out. A friend gave me a Nigerian cookbook. But overall he is adjusting better than I thought their have been a few bumps but we worked through it and by reading everyone's input about adjusting to the US on this website I try to be mindful of what he might be going through and try to be patient it is a very big adjustment for them and you. We are from different cultures, different races, and different religions and we will have trials to overcome but we have tremendous love and respect for one another that has seen us through.
