Why the need to transfer my case ( AOS) to California? What comes after?

I had my Biometrics on 17 oct 07, on 15 Nov 07 i received a letter informing me that they transferred my case (from Chicago) to California.

I was expecting a letter informing me of an interview date. Didn't see this one coming, it lost me, I don't know what to expect next now.

Does anyone know?

This has been happening for quite some time, cases transfered will be adjudicated and approved without interview, OR if the adjudicator decides an interview is needed then the case will be sent you your local field office for interview.

CSC will process your petition and either grant the GC without an interview or schedule an interview with your local office.
