Hi,

Newbie to this site here. Just got married, and am planning on applying for my GC. The problem is that both of us have only been working less than a year so don't have tax returns of three years, and no one to sign the affidavit as a co-sponsor. My question is: can a corporation file this for me as a co-sponsor? If so, what's needed and are there special forms for that?

Thanks (in advance)

US citizen spouse MUST be primary sponsor, the US citizen can provide employer letter, and recent pay stubs to prove current income, a letter explaining why no IRS return was filed last year will be needed to explain why one is not attached to the petition.

A company can only provide sponsorship in employment based immigrations cases.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Thank you for replying so fast! I read about this change from 3 years to just 1 year back tax returns as well. Wasn't sure about this. As far as the question whether a corporation can be used as a sponsor instead of a person, still not sure about that one. The instructions for the forms state the sponsor must be a US citizen or a permanent resident, but I can't find anything on whats the procedure if we can't find someone who can co-sponsor us, but there is a corporation that is willing to do so.

Thanks
