Often times I receive weird questions regarding my marriage to a foreigner. Questions such as: how are they different from American men; Does he speak English; etc., etc. I've even been asked if he is here legally!

What are some of the questions you've been asked? How do you respond?

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

I thought you were african! That is too funny, I mean cause you are african and that's such the statement you expect from people who still think africa is just untamed jungles.

:lol::lol: Yes what a great thread, I am already laughing.....let's see........before I was ready to visit Nigeria my sister asked " when you get to the airport how do you know where you are going?" as if all the signs where going to be in the local dialect or something. I just told her in Nigeria they speak English. I was asked by my co-worker if my hubby lived in the village and where their animals roaming around me? I have a funny one ... my ex and childrens father and I were having a conversation about exporting cars to Africa.... he seemed to have thought that I would see a lot of cars with the tops cut off of them and then he said" or did you see any cars? I thought that was so funny :lol::lol:

All this is to funny I though that I was the only one going through it. But when I told my family about Ranti the first thing they ask was his spritural background. I told them everything that they need to know. But it wasnt so much as for my family but the job with the patients asking questions like, how many wives do he have? Is he tryin to use you to get to the US? When you go to Nigeria he will try to keep you there. But I had to explain that I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses and he doesnt do that. Even if he wasnt a Witness I dont think they can do that anyway. I have to stop cause I can go on and on. But leave this in mind, most people down south says that most Africaians are very educated and speak very well. They take the education very serious.
