today is a new day for a new chapter in the drama that is my life. i was forced to quit my job last night (long story) and am wondering if it will affect our AOS. i have all the paystubs and letter from my employer saying i am an employee making X amount....

and i am ready to send in the AOS in the next day or so. do you guys think i'll be okay? will they ask for more proof of employment in the future during AOS? i will surely have another job speedy....but i hope that won't ruin anything!!!!

Sorry to hear that, but it should be ok, just bring your up to date employment records later if asked for or to interview then. Good luck on job hunt.

If you are interviewed you will need an up to date letter from your current employer. If you are not employed at the time of the interview you will not be approved (unless you have a sponsor).

If you can wait to apply for AOS, I'd recommend doing that, simply because by applying under the guise of having a job is lying to USCIS and that should never be encouraged. It's also not a good idea, especially if you get RFEd for something and you haven't had any luck finding employment.

Late AOS applications are forgiven, even if they go beyond the date on the I-94.
