Barcode for I-864 and DS-230

I have a few questions regarding James shortcuts. My I-864 package generated on October 29 and DS-230 on December 5 and I haven't received yet. Previous mailings from NVC I've received in one-two weeks. If I'm creating barcode should I enter letters (MNL) and numbers for my case or just numbers? I've tried to generate barcode for Affidavit of Support Bill, but appears longer than original from NVC.

 You can generate the barcode using the James Shortcut v2.0 by putting your whole case number including MNL ex. MNL2007123456

What are you confused about Roserick? Have you read James's shortcuts and your having trouble with them or?

Well I'm only doing the DS230 part of the James Shortcut..

After printing the cover sheet with my barcode in it that I edited via Windows PAINT.. I thought that was it, Didn't think there is more instructions to do..

Well there were more instructions after that, which I didn't understand..

My dear neighbor Roserick,

 You just live few blocks away from our house. Come by whenever you can and I will help you out!

Finally I received I-864 package today, and mailed back to NVC via overnight mail. It was generated on October 29, but NVC mailed out on November 16. I'm still waiting on DS-230 package (generated on December 5). However I'm still not able to create exact same barcode as an original from NVC. I've tried with barcode for I-864. Anyone created exact same barcode as NVC original?

Hi Alex,

It doesn't have to be absolutely perfect, mine wasn't. It should just look 'pretty darn good'.

If you aren't managing to achieve pretty darn good, what does it look like, too big, too small, placement incorrect?

From the hard to believe but true - it's still just sitting there haha. I call every other day now, they say - oh it has been escalated (that was over a week ago) - then they say a supervisor will look at it.

Now, that doesn't stop it from being approved in the meantime - but of course it isn't, so until a supervisor puts a fire under the file, it's not going anywhere I think - but thanks for asking :)

It looks shorter and bigger than original (comparing with Affidavit of Suppory Bill and I-864 package). I might just wait for an original to arrive. Thanks for your help.
