That was cool. It seems that most had the same kind of lip formation and only about five smiled enough to show teeth. Of course, some at the end I couldn't really tell

Amazing video, and yes, you see that it's the same features in these women, as all paintings are western. I read in the comments on the page that they all have the same faces 'cus models had to have the most neutral expression possible since they have to pose for hours, days, months until completion of the piece.

Photography and painted portraits were the same -- the process took so long to complete, the subjects were told not to move and to look as solemn as possible -- easier to maintain than a smile

very nice... I also noticed the nose is very similiar in most paintings.. and how most of them are profile paintings, or with slight tilting..and eyes almost closed

Loved this. There were also a few Queens in there too (I'm sure I saw Victoria and Katherine of Aragon) and let's not forget that most of the earlier paintings were often nobility. They were the only ones who had the wealth to commission a painting of themselves.
