EAD card after Biometrics

My wife just had her biometrics for her EAD yesterday. What is a typical wait time until we receive the actual EAD card?

It can be anything from as little as 5 days upto a few months.....

No one really knows. It can take as little as a week, but recently EADs have been taking longer time... Hope you get your soon.

That depends on where you are in the process -- if it's been close to 90 days since filing, then you can get it within a week. If it's only been 30 days since filing, then it can be up to 2 months.

Our NOA1 is 2/21/06. I did notice that ithe I-785 was "touched" this morning. I hope the EAD card is in the mail. The process is ridiculous!~

My wife had her biometrics appointment last week and her EAD application was touched a couple days later. It has been almost 2 months since we received her NOA1, so we're hoping she'll get her EAD card in the next few weeks.

Our NOA is around the same time (feb 21 was written on the notice). He had his biometrics in March, his file was touched a couple days after that and hasn't been touched since.

Your file always gets "touched" after biometrics. It does not mean that the card is in the mail. Maybe a couple of weeks.

It took Claudeth about six weeks after her biometrics to get her EAD card.

I applied for my EAD in November 2005. I had my biometric done on 1st March 2006 and have been informed by the immigration office that it could take up to 60 days from the biometric test. I was told by my local immigration office that I could have contacted them to orgainse a biometric interview - although in their letter it says that they would contact me. So it is just a waiting game

Applied for AOS & EAD Jan. 12, 2006. We got our NOA1 Feb. 14, 2006 I had my biometrics March 10, 2006 and was approved on the 16th and we received my EAD on 21st of March 2006. We can't believe it's really fast! Hope you'll get yours soon.

Should we make an infopass appointment about the biometrics soon? We'll be making one in three weeks anyway as it will be 90 days from the EAD reciept notice.

That depends. If you have free time it would not hurt, even if they say no. I've read of some offices doing biometrics on the spot if it was close to 90 days. But definitely make the 90+ day appointment as well.

I had my NOA for EAD last Feb 28, had my biometrics last april 15 and just waiting for the card...
