Jinky should definitely go for it. I wouldn't be able to stand being some other dentist's hygienist when I knew I could be a dentist. It would just feel awful...

eta: I mean only if I had already been a dentist before. not that there's anything wrong with being a hygienist, but Jinky has already done the degree, albeit elsewhere.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

But Jinky's not even eligible for the program until 2008 anyway, so she's got some time to think and apply for like, 2009 or 2010?

Once she has adjusted and got the baby out of the way it is certainly something she could consider. But if she doesn't, it's no biggy. :star:

LOL - here's how to get the baby out of "the way":

I agree. I'd hate to go through life knowing I could have been more, made more, done more.

Agreed!

Also agreed.

As for going through life knowing you could have been more, made more, etc is anyone ever at the ideal place in their life? Doesn't everyone wish they made more and done more?

I could be more in terms of getting a masters or Phd(which maybe I will, maybe I won't), getting a full time job, etc but for now I am happy where I am at, not working and soon to be a mom. That's what I always wanted to be and I get to be that.

Married since 9-18-04(All K1 visa & GC details in timeline.)

Here's what I mean. Let's say I have an education (already) that qualifies me to sit for the CPA exam and I know I have the knowledge to pass it with some amount of preparation. Now let's say I don't. Ever.

This isn't about wishing you made more. This is about knowing you could have with a reasonable amount of effort.

I have no problem with an anonymous poll but I do agree that talking publicly about money and salaries is inappropriate. In my experience, those who discuss money frequently and publicly fall into one of two catergories...#1. Braggarts #2. Looking for sympathy or hand outs.

Why all the $$ questions? Didn't your parents teach asking salaries/speaking about $ is rude? ;)
