The "only" crazy incident I've had is a girl who pulled out her guitar and started singing during my POE flight to Philadelphia... she was damn good. Everyone was clapping :)

Oh, and the huge people that always encroach into my space when we're flying. Just because I'm small, doesn't mean that I want you in my space :(

Well doesnt that just suck. Sorry you missed your flight. Hell, maybe I'll see you there tomorrow. My flight leaves for Atlanta at 1:15pm, but I'll be there with my son by 9am lol. With being stuck in secondary 1 time for over 2 hours, I'm giving myself enough time for the crazies ahead of me lol. Anyways, in case your in Terminal 1, look out for me with my son. I'll be toting around 4 carry-ons and probably going crazy cause I'll have hours to do nothing lol.

Perhaps it was just a fluke, I heard the customs guy tell one of the passengers "You picked a fine day to fly" He said this while glancing over at the lady sobbing beside me......

I expect to be through well before 8:30AM in the morning, not sure if that area is open 24/7 but expect it is......this place is just like a City, even at night

Well, I'm sorry you had so much trouble and missed your flight - that sucks. Enjoy your evening/night people watching.

Mary, wishing you and your son a safe flight to Atlanta tomorrow - weather is supposed to be sunny (what else!) and highs in the 60s - a bit cool for us but probably really comfortable for you. Hope you have no problems. You'll pass within 2 miles of my place as you head to Conyers (unless you go I-20 :-) ).

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

0453, you still alive??

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Ha ha, yes...got in the huge lineup for customs at 4:30AM, the lady at customs was a little snippy, informed her I was through yesterday and she cut me off..."Just tell me where you are going"...after that I just sat back and let her ask the questions. I made it through, took the shuttle bus to gate 260 and am watching the little coffee shop getting coffee ready. I have a couple of hours to burn but am now relieved and excited to finally be starting our lives together......tired but thrilled..........Vianca and I want to thank all of you for the support.....our thoughts are with those still moving forward with starting your lives together.

Thanks Kathryn. More than likely we'll be taking the back roads. I know traffic is going to start up around 2 or 3 and its going to be crazy at the airport in Atlanta seeing its a Friday afternoon. I had the worst time trying to sleep last night. I think I finally passed out around 2am and back up again at 5 lol. Anyways, I'll post my POE review sometime during the weekend or on Monday.

I made it. Very happy and excited. I asked Vianca to help me display a display vase that my grandmother had passed down from generations, when she reached in my suitcase she pulled on my tin Tim Hortons case....
