Ok this has probably been asked to death (sorry) - do I need to fill in all these forms for the AOS ?

1.G-325a

2. I-864

3. I-485

4. I-765

5. I-131

Of the forms listed the:

I-765

I-131

Are both optional.

If you plan on working while you are waiting for your green card the I-765 is a must.

If you plan on leaving the United States while waiting for your green card the I-131 is a must.

Check the processing speed of your service center to see how soon you can expect to a get an AOS interview.

Everyone's situation is different in terms of needing to file these two forms. In our situation we couldn't afford to travel even if an emergency occurred so we saved our money on the I-131. Other people were raising small children so they had no use for the I-765.

I suppose so as long you used an I-864 for your K1 interview. Such a scenario would not be possible in our situation because we used the Moscow Embassy mandated I-134.

If you did use the I-864 at your K1 interview, other factors to consider are

1. The length of time that has passed since the interview and the date of your AOS filing.

2. How stale is the document in terms changes in your financial history.

If the only issue is the saving of an extra 30 minutes in redoing the form and a few bucks on the public notary fees then consider making a second one for piece of mind sakes.
