Also, USCIS is sending NOA's to delay applications if you filed after June 1, 1007. I hope they recognize your 05/31/07 sending date and note the NOA date of June 2007. These people try anything to delay an application....

Advisory on Processing Times

In the past few months, USCIS has received a significant increase in the number of applications filed. As a result, processing times will likely become longer for applications filed after June 1, 2007.

USCIS is working hard to address the increased volume and will continue to provide additional information on application processing times as it becomes available. For more information, please see our Frequently Asked Questions on receipt delays.

I don't think they are sending NOAs saying they are delaying petitions (that would take plenty of time and only increase delays). If you are referring to gogo's NOA, I believe that he is actually getting a copy of his NOA1 based on his post about this conversation with USCIS here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...t&p=1332434

Also based on that thread, not so sure that he is under security checks, but that could be wrong

Urge, to my understanding I believe this was because of filing the K3 after the June 1, 2007.

Also, Gogo made mentioned of this:

I just sent another fax into that number I gave you last time (3 times) and told them to move my I-130 into NVC. I told them I know the delay is caused by the I-129F (and I wasn't responsible for that delay of the NOA1 arriving so late).. I told them to keep the I-129F at the CSC... I'll take any approval now... just to get out of the CSC... even if the I-130 takes a few more months at the NVC, at least that place is moving a lot faster than CSC... so just approve either I-129F or I-130.. CR1/IR1 or K3..

hi guys, just got back from a meeting... sorry.. jrmach1 , yes.. I am under security check as well.. that is what they told me twice when I called.. I also asked them who it was for (me or her), and they said they couldn't tell me because they don't know.. that is why I got all hyped up about the security check... before the approval, it should be security check on me.. the AP (Administrative checks) are done after the approval and before the FINAL consulate interview... anyway, I should be the one that is checked (I am a US Citizen and government worker)... guess that doesn't help much..

actually, I think these security checks are fake because some people from Mexico/Phillippines got approved in less than 3 months time (not like those countries are more trustworthy than China)... but I should at least have gotten approved within the 6 months time (just like most of the April filers... now even July filers are getting approved, so something is WRONG).. the security checks are just for them to delay some applications further because they are too busy.. just a strategy tactic..

well I am a june person and they have not even put my file with an adjudicator yet . I did an RFE trick to find out if they corrected his birthdate because my lawyer sent in the papers wrong with the wrong date and I called to see if it had been fixed. They told me it had not even been assigned to an adjudicator yet and not to expect anything until after Christmas.

and these computer "glitches" are stupid too.. who doesn't have a backup system nowadays (especially the government??).. even the government place I work have backups done daily (as well as tape backups and "cold" (offline/offsite) backups)... so I don't understand why they can't just rollover to the previous day backup (just lose a day's worth).. someone probably pressed a key and deleted 5,000 of these apps.. no wonder it doesn't show up on the automated system anymore...

one more thing.. sorry.. so many posts here... I think they got to a "limit" on what they can do with the April filers, so they give us the "security checks".. so more and more people will be getting these "security checks" (collecting dust on the 1st floor) because it is going to get worse and worse.. =( I don't like this one bit anymore... so in fact, they NEVER EVEN had computer glitches or security checks.. those are just to delay people from getting their approval (because USCIS didn't prepare for the need to increase the workforce and computer systems)... It's just like if your company said "oops... we didn't print your checks this week / month... come back after 3 months to get this month's paycheck"... maybe something like this should happen to them... they should do a "commission" job for these applications... pay for the # of applications you can finish in time...

some jokes to pass the time:

USCIS is so stupid,

they thinks Taco Bell is a Mexican Phone Company.

USCIS is so stupid,

they put a quarter in a parking meter and waited for a gumball to come out.

USCIS is so stupid,

they got fired from the M&M factory for throwing away all the W's.

USCIS is so stupid,

they missed the 44 bus, she took the 22 twice instead.

USCIS is so stupid,

they asked you what the number for 911 was.

USCIS is so stupid,

they thinks Christmas Wrap is Snoop Doggy Dogg's holiday album.

Hi

You can post as much as you want gogo ,this is the only place where we can post our frustation without harming anybody. I know how you are feeling right now it is just crazy that now we have to go under this security check extension ####### I mean seriously ,If we would've chosen going through an ilegal process to get to the states instead of doing this I bet we would be living with our S.O by now. This process can take all your energy out of you I feel so wore out and so sick of this and now with this problem I can't see the light at the end of the tunel.

How long this is going to take? :crying::crying::crying: .He can't move to live here and they won't let me go there, the good thing is that love haven't changed a bit. He loves me as much as he did yesterday and I love him more and more everyday so no matter what happens we are together in this or how we say stick and stuck.

The journey is over we are divorced now.

one more thing.. sorry.. so many posts here...

I'm with you in this and I hope this is just a lame excuse for them to justify how lazy they are other wise I think I'm going to die just watching other people getting approved.

I have gone from angry and frustrated to really pissed :ranting::ranting::ranting: .And there is not excuse for they to be short on staff they should be prepare for all this ,the ones already doing this process and for the ones coming there is always going to be people falling in love abroad and getting married and there is unbelievable to be treat it like this.It is so not fair . :crying:

And seriosly who the hell doesn't have a backup in 2007 ?

fixing a "glitch" doesn't take 7 months.. the USCIS person told me that they are still having the 2nd "glitch" with the phone now.. Also, I just checked my USCIS Case Status, and the Last Updated date didn't change (because of my phone call yesterday).. Now they are too lazy to even update the computers when you call? Oh, I forgot.. their computers have "glitches"... For buying regular things it is ok.. but this system is used for human lives... wife and husband being able to stay together... this is so ridiculous...
