hehe.. just relax My Honey.. you (and I) need to take a few days off this visa journey.. I even told my wife that in my daily email to her =) just relax for a few days and not worry about this and pick up where we left off.. I just sent another fax into that number I gave you last time (3 times) and told them to move my I-130 into NVC. I told them I know the delay is caused by the I-129F (and I wasn't responsible for that delay of the NOA1 arriving so late).. I told them to keep the I-129F at the CSC... I'll take any approval now... just to get out of the CSC... even if the I-130 takes a few more months at the NVC, at least that place is moving a lot faster than CSC... so just approve either I-129F or I-130.. I'm sorry my friend I can't relax... This is our family and I feel I have been personally attacked from USCIS. That RFE has really burned me and I can't justify there reasoning; when they have my entire life history at the touch of their finger tips! The time that was lost would have been enough to time to have my husband and family here for Christmas. Now, Christmas will be another year in wait... As an American Citizen we have rights, not to be abused by a broken system and to adjust your regulations as you feel necessary. I believe that is how they run things in USC. We are the people who suffer for their mistakes. I thought about not logging on to the Visa journey for a couple of days or until I have our approval.( But, I may not speak to anyone until Next year. :crying::crying: ) and why??? Everyone on the Visa journey has been very helpful to us and lots of support also comes from you and everyone else! I know I need that!!! All I can say Gogo, when this is over there is going to be one hell of a HUGE Party in Peru and your all invited!!!:dance: Also, I believe everyone would miss our interesting conversations and bitching!!!:lol: This nightmare just has to end... I'm definately here for you my friend.... COME ON CSC release our approvals!!!

I received my RFE on November 9th asking for more pictures of my wife because the two photos I sent of her were to BIG. Until this RFE was sent to me, I heard nothing from USCIS, only that my I129F had been transfered back in June. So it took USCIS 7 months to let me know my photos were too big. I have mailed my new photos in which the California office has received on November 14th. I called to ask how long the photos would take to be recognized with my petitions, and USCIS told me to call 2 TO 3 WEEKS LATER. I have written my governor, senator, and 2 congressman, and a State Rep. I received an email back from the governors office saying that this issue was a federal issue to contact my congressman. I received a call back from one congressman's office, and they said my case was still within USCIS time frame. The others I have received a typical form letter stating the got my email. I had to stop looking on VJ because I was getting way to upset knowing others had received their RFE several months ago. And I also have a friend who filed only the I130, after I filed both of my petitions, needed RFE, and his 1 petition is at the NVC already. The frustration sets in because I feel helpless, and I can only hope that they approve our petitions soon.

photos too big? How so?.. I sent about 20 different 4x6 pictures of me and her, with family (both sets of parents), sisters.. all in different places too.. so they really have no reason to complain about me here.. if they want pictures, I'll send them over 4,000 (this last trip I took last month had over 1,000 hehe)..

Reading your posts I am thankful to God that my case went through USCIS with no complication. But I feel your pain guys.

A whole immigration system is broken, in my opinion. Remember that immigration bill not so long ago that has raised immigration issue in the country? The bill is a 100% junk. One of the requirements in that bill was that every illegal immigrant should be process by immigration services within 24 hours and issued a, so called, Z visa. Our government sometimes so stupid, at least when it comes to immigration.

It is sad to see, and you don't have to look far, that people (e.g. Mexicans) cross US border illegally and our government welcomes them with open hands (instead of deporting them). On the other hand, people who try to do everything by the law, try to bring their closest person in a whole world to live together, need to wait a year (assuming no complications). A valid question to ask is: how in the world it happened that process one application requires 6 or more months? This is absurd. While US business world processes all their application (loans, buy/sell, investments, bank, jobs, etc.) from 30 SECONDS to 7 (at most) days, US government processing times from 30 DAY to YEARS, DECADES... While our businesses are in 2007, our government is still in 1950.

Last time I dealt with my bank via paper was... I don't even remember. Everything via Internet nowadays, even signatures. They say they have computer glitch... Have you ever heard a bank computer system had a computer glitch that would cause a delay (and if it had then only for few minutes, and customers would not noticed it anyway)?

But the most outraging thing in this process is when you call USCIS and ask question. NO HELP. Sometimes, you get people who are literary (i don't want to say it, but have to) idiots when it comes to document procedures. Rudeness is another thing. And this famous answer: wait another 30 days before calling back. It seems like everything that they do with a case (every step) requires 30 days.

to receive - 30 days,

to enter in a system - 30 days,

to put it on the shelf - 30 day,

to assign officer to the case - 30 day,

to bring documents to that officer - 30 days,

to process them - 30 days,

even to change address - 30 days

Unbelievable !!!

Another thing is that whatever USCIS does they are not hold responsible for their action. A clerk can throw away petitions and nobody will know about it, and you cannot sue them. Another indication of that system is broken is that every case is decided by one person and depends on his/her feelings that day the case maybe approved or RFE or even denied. That is what bothers me the most. I wonder if they even do any follow up checks.

And tell me why a worker should be issued a visa in max 90 day, while a wife/husband should wait a year or more? I think people who made that decision are cold blooded people, who only care about money and nothing else. It is clearly the case that family is a priority, nothing else. Apparently, our government thinks differently.

After a long wait and still waiting, I decided to post my frustrations with USCIS here.

GOOD LUCK TO YOU, GUYS!

I'm sorry JG 0407 to hear about this! This truely sucks that you have pictures to big! COME ON USCIS! How Poor!!! When I returned the requested information it took 11 days to enter it in there "broken" system. Our RFE was issuied 10/09/2007 and we are still waiting for a response. I was told by our Congressman office by end of month. I'm not holding my breathe because I was also promised earlier on this... I know how you feel because we are at the mercy of USCIS. Best of luck to you and your family and unfortunately these people do not move very fast..

Yes, but they would need to cut the photo down to the proper size to fit on the application and by doing that more than likely too much of the picture wouldl be lost (about 40%).

YMMV

Yep, 50mm by 50mm or 2inch by 2inch is strictly specified in the instructions. One of the most important things when sending in the petitions is to make sure all of our Ts are crossed and Is are dotted. That was an oversight that caused an unfortunate and unneeded delay of your petitions. They probably started processing your petition around the time of the others who filed around your time, but RFEs do take a little while to be sent and received.

but it does say it here...

Actually the assign to an adjudicator is the part that takes so long, like 5 months. Before that, they are working on previous cases, and yours is sitting collecting dust.
