Some of you people that are outraged need to understand that in most state laws this charge of sexual abuse does not necessarily mean the sexual relationships were not consensual. Because they are prisoners, they are basically treated like children, in that they are unable to consent. Therefore, technically her boyfriend could be charged with a similar crime in some states if he somehow happened to have sex with her while she was in prison. Maybe some places have a marriage exemption, but like altmaty said, he cold have been incarcerated just for allegations of consensual sexual relations with these women.

Might still be wrong, especially for a priest, but not as wrong as actually forcing the women to do these things. Could very well have been the woman's idea and he will still be charged with this.

Agreed. There's nothing sick or perverted in consensual sex between two adults.

This is what happens when people think they can transcend being human in the name of religion. Oops, you're still a person who's gotta get laid somehow.

:o ex-communicate the sick fecker, then throw his azz in jail with the rest of the pervs!!

makes me feel ashamed to be a catholic in this day and age!!

maybe i was a wee bit harsh callin him a perv but at the end of the day........ he broke his vow of celibacy.......... he should be stripped of his priesthood and ex-communicated from the catholic church.

He is not a good role model, nor are the rest of the catholic priests that partake in sexual activities, whether consent was given or not. They should be horse-whipped!!

The Catholic Church needs to re-affirm its stance on its vow of celibacy, this whole malarky is a disgrace. They try to tell us one thing but our priests do another.

Separated!!

The Catholic church needs to re-evaluate a lot of things, including priests & celibacy. It's silly in this day & age.

Yes. Very good point. The only thing drawing attention to this is the word 'priest'.

8-30-05 Met David at a restaurant in Germany

3-28-06 David 'officially' proposed

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.

Alex, I'm positive there's a small number of humans fully capable of transcending that aspect of their humanity. Problem with organized religions are that they try to create armies of such people when the actual pool of humanity capable of such strength is quite small.

JMHO of course.

Adult and bike ... isn't that just masturbation? When did jacking off become punishable??

Completely agree. He's a human being with rights just like all of us. Sex is not dirty, it's a natural, normal thing for two consenting adults.
