confused in Florida

I submitted the required paperwork to the visa center in California. I live in Florida but hired an experienced

service in the state of Washington. He has been super. My problem is the following:

I received the approval from California on or about January 5, 2006.

I received an informal notice from NVC on or about January 24, 2006.

Both saying approved.

I understand the waiting time for Guangzhou China is 2-4 months and I am sure we are close

to the end of that time. The problem is Guangzhou keeps telling us they don't have the record

or it hasn't been filed yet. I talked to NVC and they confirmed both the electronic and documents

are indeed in Guangzhou.

I'm sure Guangzhou has it. The problem is that is in a big pile of things they need to get to. The only thing you can do is wait and keep calling them.

I talked to NVC today and requested they trace my paperwork. I was informed over a month ago that

both the electronic and courier documents were in China. Today I was told the electronic documents

are at the embassy, but the courier documents are still in customs. It seems when the embassy is too

busy they store the waiting paperwork in customs. The first gentleman was right. Both sets of documents

are in China. What he failed to tell me was that both sets of documents were not in the embassy. This may

be some help for all I129F petitioners. In China expect a longer wait time.

Fiancee finally received the first set of forms from the Embassy in China. There was a

question on one of the forms which confused us. It states "what proof do you have of your engagement?"

or something on that order. I thought a fiancee was a person you was engaged to! Does anyone know

what exactly they want?

a ring..receipt for the ring etc..they want some evidence that she is engaged...
