That's how my first husband died. The doctor said he was gone before he hit the ground. He had just turned 31. He was four years older than me so I had a lot of anxiety until I got past that age. Strangely enough, our daughter is having the same little anxiety attacks, but she didn't know that I'd had them too. We discussed it so I think she'll be okay now. At least, I hope she will be. She has a small heart murmur so it's difficult not to worry.

Me? I worry more about other people dying than myself. I guess it's a residual. The pain of loss is far greater than any pain I'll experience in my own death, I think. As long as I'm not murdered I guess I'm good to go.

Actually, on my Dad's side of the family everyone seems to make it into their 90s in full control of all their faculties, active, intelligent, participating in life then having a massive heart attack while drinking a cup of coffee (that part is true - his father and all of his uncles died while drinking a cup of coffee while taking a break from something else - his Dad had just finished mending the roof and was getting ready for bed to get up early and go fishing). That sounds pretty good to me.
