Estimating NOA2 to Interview

Hello everyone.

Not sure if anybody posted this before, but I have made an interesting observation today.

On http://moscow.usembassy.gov/consular/iv_dates.php where they list interview appointments, the embassy seems to post not only NVC case number but also the EAC/WAC case number.

Now, this by itself is extremely useful, as it lets people know the interview date in advance without having to call the NVC extremely busy hang up on you line, but there is more. You can go to USCIS site to check your case online, and enter the case numbers.

Now you have both dates, the NOA2 date, and the interview date.

It took about two weeks after getting our NVC received postal letter until the interview date showed up on the Moscow embassy website. So we already had our MOS number and knowing the WAC number wasn't particularly useful at that point.

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

------

Sep 16, 2008 -- AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

Apr 01, 2009 -- Conditional green card arrives.

------

Feb 19, 2011 -- Mailed I-751 Packet to lift conditions

Nov 11, 2011 -- Permanent GC rev'd in mail.

------

Apr 25, 2012 -- Mailed N-400 Naturalization

Aug 16, 2012 -- Citizenship Interview. Approved.

Nice, our NVC date is about 2 weeks after you, hope we get the interview for mid Jan or earlier and that all the New Year's vacation at the embassy doesn't push it for later.
