my K1 was approved 3 weeks ago, after a very long wait. NVC has no info yet. first of all CSC takes too long to process it. it is absurd that they take too long to send it to NVC !!! how long does it take for NVC to get these papers ? i am talking about CSC here. i know they on that "slow path" ? what are my options ?

Im in the same boat, got my NOA 2 on 10/22 and we are still waiting for NVC to assign a # and acknowledge they recieved it. I emailed them today, lets see if they respond.

ya, u can wait for another 3 months before you get a reply!. it is a total dis-service to the citizens of this country. i am really upset. it is taking too long !!

This has happened in the past. You may have to get your elected representative involved if they keep giving you the run-around.

Our case took 5 weeks to get to NVC. NVC forwarded our case to the Consulate on 11/6. I just called the Consulate in HCM and they have not received our physical file yet. They said they received an electronic file on 11/8 and that the physical file will take 2-3 weeks to arrive. :wacko:

Same here it was approved on 10/25/07. I just spent three hours to get in touch with them on the phone and they said they have not got it.this sucks because if they were in love as much as we are it seems that they would speed this up.Still hoping for a quick visa but i know that will not happen.

I wonder why they said it take 2-3 weeks to ship your file to HCM. We all know they use DHL and that it only takes 2-3 days to get there. Hopefully it will be sooner rather than later. Good luck Mr2Nice!

Does anyone know if they send out the packet 3 after the embassy receives the electronic file, or do they wait for the actual hardcopy before sending paperwork?

Ya, we all know we are meeting the damn big jam, the processing is so slow now. just hopefully the USCIS is resolving it not just let it be. The waiting is totally suffering.

Thanks afterforever, I also thought NVC use DHL from what I've read. Well, nothing surprises me anymore. Just our luck I tell you. One delay after another. I thought getting out of NVC is a good thing, now I find out it takes 2-3 weeks from NVC sent date for them to receive it. Let's see if we catch any breaks when they do receive it.

it has been posted on here several times that the service centers are having trouble with the contractors who transport the petitions to NVC. at the moment they are sending them in a crate once a month. so its taking 4 to 5 weeks for the petitions to arrive at NVC. complaining to congressmen isnt going to help it. they are working to get the contractor problem fixed and send sooner and more often again but right now it appears to be one crate a month that they send out.

they dont mail them, and not just anyone can show up to transport a truck load of legal private petitions and personal info government papers etc.

unfortunately your option is to wait until it past 60 days. then something is wrong, but 30 to 45 days is the going timeline.

First trip 01-17-07

Married 02-05-07

What Service Center was filed at? Nebraska transferred to California

were on the same track!!!! were approved last oct. 16 and my fiance call NVC 0ct.12 and they said they didnt rcv yet our petition and to wait 90 days and check later!!! hello we waited for 5 mons for approval and now wait for 90 days! absolutely ridiculous!!!!! as what members said maybe my fiance talked to a call center agent not directly to CSC folks well any I'll keep my fingers cross we will call NVC again this friday I hope turtle transporting from CSC to NVC move a little faster though..... I HOPE to get NVC case number soon! HELP US GOD!

usually they are fast, but this time of the year they slow down, but it will be soon. best advise i could give you is that to call them if you could :)

December 7th----NOA2 online

December 14-----NOA2 Hard Copy

December 21-----NVC recieved

December 28-----NVC send to US embassy in Ethiopia

January 8---------US embassy in Ethiopia will recieve

January 11--------Packet 3

February 7 -------Interview

February 7 -------Passed interview

February 12------VISA in hand

February 22------IN the USA

March 1-----------Wedding

March 15----------Sent AOS

July 7 -------------Finger Print

January 27, 2009--Green card approved without interview. It took almost one year though.

Feb 2 -------------Got the green card in the mail

Next: playing the waiting game for the 2 years holding removal
