updating time line...

I have a question...

When I originally, joined vj, and completed the time line info..such as where we filed our petition and so forth, I put texas service center. When in reality it was transferred and filed at the California service center. Whin the week I have noticed that our time line has jumped from a Dec 6th adudicated date to January 24th 08, to now february 1st.

Someone suggested that I change the service center from texas to california in our profile, to see if it would make a difference.

I went to control panel and chaged it, but the change is not appearing in our timeline. It is still saying, filed at texas service center.

Does anyone know if it will update in a few hours perhaps? Is there something else I need to do?

The timeline is only an estimate based on the data provided by users on this site. The two service centers have about the same approval time now, so it likely doesn't matter which service center you select.

so another words, you have no idea how to change the service center info in the time line? If anyone else can help, it would be much appeciated.

On the top of the page, click on "Immigration Timelines." On the upper left-hand side, click on "Edit/Add My Entry." Verify your email address, click through, change your service center, and then scroll all the way to the bottom of the page. Click "Submit changes."

No problem. If there's one thing I'd change about VJ, it would be that you can edit your timeline from the same place that you view it. You're not the first to be tripped up.
