Vermont waiting time suprise

My lady and I filed and got our first "touch" on August 24. Our service center is Vermont.

So, it will be three months so far as of next Friday. My girl called the USCIS Vermont today to tell them my new passport number. She also asked how much longer she figured the wait would be. The lady told her they were processing from April 24!!!! That means 4 more months, to a grand total of 7 months.

Is this really true? Or, are they high-balling the time line? On the processing times page of this site, it seems that Vermont is at about 4 months median.

Anybody know the deal?

Thanks so kindly

It may not be that long. But Vermont is taking as much time as California, or about 5 months total.

Come join us in the "Waiting for your NOA2 from VSC" thread. Lots of info there! Plus cool people to wait with!!!

ut seriously, it is taking a good 5 - 6 months at the moment through Vermont. Today is day 114 for me. Sigh. Waiting sucks.

ETA: Please complete a timeline so we know when you filed, got your NOA1 etc. Thanks!!

Nah, we will settle in the USA, likely. It is so hard to predict the future, of course. We both will be doing masters degree in the DC area from September on, and I figure that will embed us in the region for a number of years.

I would love to live in Montreal again. I adore that city. Where will you be living?

New Jersey.

I'm excited. It's crowded but there are some really nice spots.

Best of luck to you!!! :)
