File a new I-130 (don't do a motion), and send the I-130 filing receipt to your parents to present with the AP upon arrival. The necessary prima facie evidence will then be present to show that they can file a new I-485 upon being paroled to resume adjustment

One possible wrinkle here... Maybe somebody else here can answer better...

Can you separately file an I-130 for an immediate relative (spouse/minor child/parent), and then subsequently file the I-485 at the same office with the I-130 filing receipt and call it 'concurrently' filed? I know you can do this for Form I-140 (employer petition), but what about I-130 for family immediate relatives?

If he can't do this, then the parents won't possibly be able to use the AP under my reasoning unless the I-130 has been approved, they have the approval notice to show, and the AP hasn't yet expired (you can always subsequently file an I-485 based on an approved petition).
