NVC letter

Hi

our case at NVC under AR,it's k3

they send us a letter(the letter received to day and dated 5 days after the date that NVC received the case),letter said that they will send the petition with in a week to the consulate,but when we called NVC they said that case still in AR

it passed more than a week on the letter date and the case still not forwarded to the consulate ,

is this normal ,does every one get that letter from NVC even they do not forward the case to the embassy ,or NVC issues this letter only when they are really sending the case to NVC

Does your NVC letter has a number with the three letter code for the consulate?

Then yourcase should have been forwarded to the embassy. Try check embassy website appointment schedule. It may show up there.

Could you please post your time line. What date you got K3-approved?

Not necessarily. The consulate/embassy case numbers are generated by the NVC when the case is input into their system. It does not indicate that the case has already been forwarded. I have my case number for the embassy even though it is not yet forwarded, as do others. The case just got to the NVC and should be forwarded in a day or two (we hope). We have not yet received the letter from NVC (as I said , they just received the case). I would think they send it when they enter the case in the system, but AP/AR throws out any predicted forwarding times.
