I had called the USCIS 800 number today to check the status of our petition i entered the reciept number and it came back saying status for this reciept number cannot be found in our system and make sure you entered the correct reciept number which i did. whats that mean cannot be found i just called a month ago and it gave me the status of my petition? Anyone else called and had that happen? thanks

You might just enter the wrong key number.. just try the one online.. Goodluck

That happened to me. I130 and I129F forms would not show up as received or anything - Online, OR by phone. I130 didn't show up AT ALL until it was actually *finished*. How's that for suspense?

Try to get through to an operator - and give them your number. They have access to a system different from the one on the phone.

What happened when I got through, the first person did not find it - they asked if I got the receipt in the mail, I said yes - then they said "Hold on, I'll transfer you to someone who can help."

*hold*

Supervisor comes on and asks me for my receipt number - checks it in HER system ... then says "We've received your form on (date) everything's OK." etc etc etc.

Ya thats what i did i called and spoke to an operator she didnt know why it didnt come up over the phone so but she checked nothings changed but its there.. She also checked to see what apps there working on at CSC she said April but i've seen a few people who have gotten approved from may june and july.. Our time will come i just hope its soooooooooooon...

I am following up another case, not for myself, and I was getting the same thing. I waitied for a live operator for about 20 minutes and I was told that their system is not updated due to number of cases received but not uploaded yet.

This happened to me today and I spoke to 2 different ppl. the last officer i spoke with told me that she emailed the dept that took care of petitions. she also said that our case didnt show that it had been assigned to anyone either, so to wait 10 days for an update and if nothing, to give them a callback. Our case has been there since june, so how could it not be found??!!
