In my first marriage I kept my maiden name. I had two children, who's last names were their father's last name. Always caused confusion...geesh.

This is my second marriage, and without hesitation I took my husband's last name. I'm proud to be using it. My kids, young adults now, can't pronounce it or spell it correctly yet.

After my divorce I changed my name back to my maiden name.

I haven't decided yet if I will take P's name. It's a lovely name to be sure, but I'm not sure I want to go through the legalities again.

Maybe legally I'll change it but not at work.

My fiancée will drop her family name and take mine since she will be living in the U.S. If we would have married and stayed in Russia she would have probably kept her family name just so people would still know she was Russian. I believe a family should share one name, either hers or his. But I can't stand hyphening.
