Its better if you apply for a Fiance evisa rather than spousal visa(K3). Its a bit faster and not too complicated. Please read the guides here in VJ. It will help you decide. My Fiance is from South Carolina too!

Sweet! You can ask him about this, but I grew up in the Midlands of South Carolina.

The answers to my earlier questions are critical to your success. You wife will need a sponsor. If you have that covered, then you being on SS disability benefits won't be a problem. The issue is that if that is your only means of sponsorship, it is not sufficient.

Your "jurisdiction" is the Philippines.

im curious until my future wife and I can get on our feet in the U.S. would my parents as principle sponsors be ok?

Technically, you are the principal sponsor but when another "joint" sponsor is used, parents, siblings or long time friends are the most acceptable choice. I suggest you start studying the VJ "Guide" for DCR and start hanging out in the DCF forum if Direct Consular Filing after marriage is your plan. You have a lot to learn in order to improve your chance of success. As you study and learn, you'll understand why asking isolated questions is not the best approach to the visa process.

For example, being on SS disability income is not a problem, nor is your health, UNLESS as a result of your health, SS disability is your only income. This is why, when you are asking for advice in this process, it is often critically important that you both supply as full a descriptions of your circumstances as possible and that you answer the questions that are asked of you by those trying to help you.
