The two issues that are going to decide this election are:

1. Illegal Immigration

2. Taxes

And the Dem's are on the wrong side of both of them!

besides they all have B.D.S.

BUSH DERANGEMENT SYNDROME

Oh by the way, we will win in Iraq. In spite of the democrats sabotaging their own country.

Steven,

You are right. But the anger exists and any politician that figures out how to tap it will be seen as a freaking genius.

Where's Karl when you need him?

Hopefully dead and buried where he belongs.

Illegal immigration is a tough issue to defend. I think I understand why the Republicans have better mental health than the Dems.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Senate Floor Speech on Public Debt

Irrational solutions to a complex issue is even tougher, and juxtaposed to the money sucking quagmire in Iraq and Afghanistan, a weakening dollar, skyrocketing oil prices, large scale foreclosures of homes, lead contaminated toys from China, and millions of Americans without adequate healthcare, making illegal immigration the main focus of a Party's platform will be that Party's own demise in the upcoming Presidential election. Everything has context.

I seriously fail to understand what is "hard line" about expecting your leaders to defend your nation's borders, protect its sovereignty, enforce its laws, spend taxpayers' money in the taxpayers' interest, deliniate the rights of citizens and LPRs, expel those who disrespect its right to determine who comes here, expel illegals, and hold its neighbor nations accountable for taking care of their own.

Sounds like self-preservation and common sense to me. Nothing at all "hard line" about it. Anything less is self-destructive pandering.
