was it on sale? people are stocking up for thanksgiving :) the shelves at the grocery store this morning were bare on most baking items and cream cheese cos it was on sale like 10 for $10

Well they had the big one, but I wanted the small one. Hey was that 10 for $10 at Kroger's? I was like what can I make with cream cheese? :)

Cannot tell a lie. I've been known to buy some of that stuff b/c it's such a great deal and THEN find something to make with it. P really needs to get here soon so I can stop buying useless things at the grocery store on sale....

I suspect it was just a busy weekend at the grocery store. They regularly get new supplies of dairy products, some stores daily! Going during the day or during the week instead of a weekend will ensure you'll get some.

Hey I just got back from COSTCO... there is a big cooler full of Three-packs of extra heavy whipping cream.. .. ie in spray can.. .. cost $7.49 (Oregon)

I thought it was just a problem here in the south. Im used to being able to get heavy whipping cream from service stations in Australia just pick it up on your way home sort of thing and here it seems the only place is the larger food stores.

It sucks, I use alot of cream in cooking, both for desserts and different sauces for mains. It annoys me to have to make a trip to the supermarket just for that.
